UConn announced the move this afternoon.
It looks like Andy Katz will still be working in Connecticut this fall.
The former ESPN college basketball analyst has been hired as UConn football’s in-stadium Gameday host.
This is Katz’s first confirmed job since he was laid off at ESPN.

Going from a major television presence at ESPN to a gameday host in the AAC might seem like a strange move. But Katz could also have some other gigs lined up as well.
UConn opens its 2017 season at home tomorrow night against Holy Cross.
