Update: DeAndre Daniels sent a message about his decision via Twitter:

Original: Without forward DeAndre Daniels, UConn likely doesn’t capture its fourth national championship. Now, the Huskies will be without the versatile 6-foot-8 forward’s services as they attempt to defend that trophy. As first reported by Yahoo!’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Daniels will declare for the NBA Draft.
Daniels averaged 13.1 points and six rebounds per game for the Huskies as a junior, and bumped those numbers up to 16/7.2 in the NCAA Tournament. Daniels’ 27 points and 10 rebounds were key in knocking off a strong Iowa State squad in the Sweet 16, and he recorded the first national semi-final double-double in over a decade with his 20/10 performance against heavy favorite Florida.
Daniels hasn’t tweeted directly about his decision yet, but he is retweeting many UConn fans who have expressed their support, which seems like confirmation enough that he is leaving.
