UCF quarterback Blake Bortles was on hand at Radio City Music Hall when he was selected third overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in one of the more surprising selections of last night’s first round of the NFL Draft. Even with their favorite son in New York, Bortles’ hometown of Oviedo, Florida had a pretty sizable draft party last night, and their reaction to Jacksonville’s pick was awesome. One Bortles fan either saw the selection on Twitter early, as it leaked a few moments before commissioner Roger Goodell made it official, or he had a lot of faith of the in-state Jags taking Bortles, as he yells the pick a second before the broadcast. Once Goodell reads the name, the entire room of Bortles fans goes nuts.
If this video is any indication, the Jags may have done well to pick the local QB to lead their franchise here.
