Update: Per ABC, Shaw will be held out of the rest of today’s game with what they’re assuming is a “shoulder sprain”. We’ll keep you updated.
Earlier: Hold your breath, South Carolina fans. Senior quarterback Connor Shaw injured his shoulder in the middle of the first quarter of today’s matchup against UCF and had to be taken to the locker room. Shaw’s injury came on a read option play in which he landed awkwardly after being tackled. To make matters worse, he also fumbled the ball. Check it out:
Shaw has had shoulder trouble before – as recently as last September. Hopefully the injury isn’t too serious.
