As part of its national championship victory lap, Clemson football put out a very dramatic new video today titled “The Dream…Realized.”
Rather than your typical highlight or hype video, this one has a narrative, following a young Clemson fan’s development into a high school star, recruitment, and eventual decision to choose the Tigers over rivals Florida State and South Carolina. He even does the old decision day hat fake-out on South Carolina, something I’m sure Gamecock fans will be incredibly amused by.
Eventually, the video seems to reveal that the player is star wide receiver Mike Williams, as he is preparing for, and winning, Monday’s national championship as a Tiger, and we get a sideline shot of the game-winning Deshaun Watson to Hunter Renfrow touchdown and the post-game revelry.

We should note that Williams grew up as a South Carolina fan in a Gamecocks family, and was very close to committing to the Gamecocks, so the storyline has been a bit tweaked here. Either way, we’re sure Clemson fans are going to watch this one a few thousand times over the next couple of weeks, especially as the Tigers push it, and other videos like it, as we move towards National Signing Day.
