Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams is headed to the NFL Draft.
Fresh off a huge performance in Monday night’s national championship, Williams announced his intentions this afternoon.
Williams forgoing his final year of eligibility isn’t that much of a surprise. He exploded for 98 receptions, 1,361 yards and 11 touchdowns this season after missing nearly all of 2015 after breaking his neck during a game against Wofford.
For his career, Williams caught 177 passes for 2,727 yards and 21 touchdowns. He is projected to be a first-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
