Clemson freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson won the starting job against the No. 1 team in the nation – Florida State. There are some who now believe that someday, he’s going to be the No. 1 signal-caller in college football.
Saturday morning, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit gave the Tigers first-year star some high praise. He told viewers that he believes that Watson will be “the face of the sport” for the next two-to-three years.

Watson’s statistics in his first year truly are otherworldly. He’s thrown for nearly 1,200 yards, 12 touchdowns and just one interception in five games – only two of which he’s started. Clemson could be in good shape behind center for quite some time.
