If you watched the pregame portion of the Clemson vs. Georgia broadcast, you undoubtedly saw ABC air the entire entrance routine the Tigers go through for each home game. The culmination of the event involves coach Dabo Swinney and his players running down the hill onto the field in front of thousands of screaming fans – it’s a pretty cool moment.
Georgia’s players, predictably, didn’t care for all of the fanfare. In the video below, you can see many approach the hill to taunt the Clemson players.
This isn’t the first time a Mark Richt coached Georgia team has pulled a move like this either.
According to Clemson star wideout Sammy Watkins, this kind of thing wouldn’t fly with his coach. Check out what he told Roy Philpott of CUTigers.com.
Asked Sammy Watkins about UGA coming over to the hill pregame. “Dabo would have made us forfeit the game if we did something like that.”

Clearly Watkins is exaggerating, but the point he’s making is clear – Clemson clearly thought it was bush league.
Do you think the Bulldogs went overboard in an attempt to get inside the Tigers’ heads?
