Duke will be without its starting point guard on Saturday.
Friday afternoon, Duke announced that starting point guard Trevon Duval, a five-star freshman, will miss the team’s exhibition contest against Bowie State. The reason? Duval has been suspended for a “violation of team standards.”
At the moment, it just looks like it’s a one-game suspension.

Clearly, this isn’t the best start for Duval, who is one of the most highly-touted freshmen in the nation. Duval, who stands at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, was the sixth-best player overall in the country for the 2017 class, per 247 Sports.
