While no one likes to see any athlete get injured, Joel Embiid’s foot injury will likely benefit Jabari Parker, who is now gaining some steam as the possible No. 1 pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in Thursday’s NBA Draft. Parker, however, doesn’t seem to be allowing any of those thoughts to cloud his judgment. In a very classy move, the Duke star visited the recovering Embiid today.
Parker, Embiid, and Andrew Wiggins remain the favorites to be the first pick, but Embiid, who seemed to have that spot locked up before news of his injury came out, would be a very bold choice at this time. Either way, all three are likely to be off the board in the first five picks, so all should be fairly happy come Thursday night.
