While last week’s rivalry game matchup between Duke and North Carolina was technically cancelled due to safety concerns given the icy roads in the area, the underlying cause was simply that the Blue Devils couldn’t get from Durham to Chapel Hill (an 11-mile trip) given the situation. UNC had urged fans to stay home, claiming it’d do its best to fill the arena with students already on-campus.
Thursday morning, UNC fans are still poking fun at Duke for the mishap. With the two set to square off tonight in the makeup game, they’ve come up with some creative signs.
