Summer is off to a bad start for Duke sophomore big man Marques Bolden.
As a freshman, Bolden came to campus with a lofty reputation as a five-star recruit. He was supposed to be a major contributor.
Instead, Bolden battled injuries, missing the beginning of the season and barely seeing the court when he was healthy.
In order for Duke to have a strong 2017-18, the Blue Devils could really use a productive Bolden. However, if he can’t shake the injury bug, he won’t be able to help much.
According to media on the scene, Bolden suffered an injury during the ongoing USA Basketball U19 trials in Colorado.

Calipari said Marques Bolden had a hip issue tonight. I suspect he ain't long for this USA camp.

We’ll update you if any more info comes out about Bolden.
Needless to say, this is disappointing news for a player who averaged just 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per game last year.
