Jahlil Okafor made some waves with his appearance at Cameron Indoor Stadium for last week’s Duke-UNC game, and after the game he spent some time with a possible future teammate in Duke forward Rodney Hood. The two discussed playing at Cameron, in front of celebrities like Tony Romo, sending off the Duke seniors on a high note, and the prospects for the program going forward.
Most interestingly, when Hood asked Okafor about coming to Duke next year, the high school superstar casually mentioned how he’s excited to play with ACC Player of the Year runner-up Jabari Parker. Obviously Parker is expected to enter the NBA draft where he will likely be a top five pick, so either Okafor has some serious inside information, or he’s engaging in very wishful thinking. Something tells me it is probably the latter.
