We’re just four days away from the 2014 BCS National Championship Game battle between the ACC’s finest, Florida State, and the SEC’s last-standing, Auburn. The college football world is waiting to see if the SEC will reign supreme for the eighth consecutive year, or if Heisman winner Jameis Winston can lead the Seminoles to victory.
Today, numerous players had a chance to speak to the media, and the FSU players weren’t shy — they are absolutely tired of the SEC talk:
Jones: “I think we match up with any team in the SEC, and better.”

FSU’s Christian Jones: “We match up with every SEC team.” Admits he hears people talk about the SEC’s run of BCS titles all the time.

There was a lot of “luck” talk thrown around as well, but the FSU players weren’t all willing to say that Auburn wasn’t deserving:

FSU’s Christian Jones: “I don’t believe in luck. What I get out of the way that Auburn won is that they play four full quarters.”

This certainly isn’t the first time that the Auburn team is hearing noise about it being lucky — the Tigers can fully acknowledge that some ridiculous plays occurred to get them where they are currently. That being said, what’s done is done, and they are going to be ready to play on Monday night. One thing is for sure though: the Seminoles, and particularly those defensive players, aren’t scared of them. Then again, Wisconsin was tired of hearing about “SEC bias” before it played South Carolina, too.
