Bobby Bowden hasn’t been the coach of the Florida State football team since 2009. The man who began leading the program in 1976 seemed to be present at the Seminoles’ practice this morning, though.
Following a morning session, current Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher spoke with the media. When describing the play of former five-star recruit Travis Rudolph, a true freshman wide receiver, Fisher seemed to channel his inner-Bowden.
FSU freshman WR Travis Rudolph was a full participant in practice today. Fisher: “That dadgum guy is gonna be a heck of a player.”

Dadgum, of course, was as big a part of Bowden’s vernacular as any word.
We’re surprised Bowden didn’t trademark the word.
