Jameis Winston and the Florida State Seminoles are off to a hot start in 2013 — Winston’s 209.5 quarterback rating ranks second in the country and FSU is up to No. 8 in the country in both polls. The offense in particular has been spectacular, ranking fifth in scoring by putting up more than 51 points per game.
Despite the gaudy numbers, Winston has been hearing some suggestions as to what he can do to improve his game. One tip, or request, especially stood out to the quarterback, and he enjoyed it so much that he had to share it with the media today:
Jameis: Chad’s mom asked me before the game when I was going to get her baby the ball. #Noles

So fullback Chad Abram’s mom is petitioning to get her son some balls thrown his way, apparently.
Against the Eagles, Abram had one catch for six yards. I guess Winston is still working on taking Abram’s mother’s advice, or he did just enough to humor her.
