Between Auburn’s miracle ‘Hail Mary’ touchdown against Georgia, its amazing game-winning missed field goal return against Alabama in the Iron Bowl, and Ohio State’s loss to Michigan State in the Big Ten title game (which opened the door for AU to reach the BCS National Championship Game), many believe the Tigers are a team of destiny. Heck, even former players have come up with theories as to how any of it was even possible.
But Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, for good reason, isn’t a believer. He dropped a strong quote at today’s press conference that is sure to rile up Seminoles fans.
Jameis Winston: “I’m glad they call Auburn a team of destiny because at Florida State we control our destiny”

No, Winston’s quote doesn’t make a ton of sense when looking at the actual definition of destiny, but he makes his point regardless. FSU has dominated its opponents all year under Winston’s leadership.
Taking fate out of the matter, Florida State will need to figure out a way to slow down Auburn’s potent running attack. On the contrary, the Tigers will need to rattle Winston early and often to have a chance at pulling the upset.
