Former Florida State safety Myron Rolle, who famously passed on his first opportunity to enter the NFL draft in order to take a Rhodes Scholarship and study at Oxford University, has spoken out about the Jameis Winston rape allegations.
Rolle tweeted about Winston’s case today on the back of a long New York Times article by Walt Bogdanich that purports that the investigation into the case was highly flawed. The former Seminole believes that Winston is being wrongly accused, and equates the story to that of Emmett Till, an African-American teenager from Chicago who was murdered in 1955 on a visit to Mississippi after possibly flirting with a white woman.
They can’t kill Jameis like they did Emmett, but they’ll do their best to slander him. Stay strong, J5.

With the Times looking further into this case, don’t expect this story to go away this year, especially with the Seminoles looking to repeat as national champions.
