The madness has begun. So far this Thursday, we’ve already seen a buzzer-beater from Seton Hall’s Sterling Gibbs to knock off Big East No. 1 seed Villanova. Just minutes later, we’ve got another game-winner in the final seconds. Florida State, which absolutely needed to score a win against Maryland to have a shot at reaching the NCAA Tournament, knocked off the Terrapins on their final possession via a dunk from sophomore center Boris Bojnovsky. The play was set up on a beautiful feed from senior forward Okaro White.
FSU now gets No. 1 seed Virginia in the next round – it’s safe to say a win there would be enough for the Seminoles. Maryland is most likely headed to the NIT…and then the Big Ten.
