When Paul Finebaum wants to rip someone, he doesn’t hold back.
Finebaum appeared on ESPN2’s Olbermann last night, and during his appearance on the show, he discussed Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston. Well, he didn’t really “discuss” Winston, rather, the always controversial radio personality decided to take a minute or two to absolutely shred the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. In his piece, Finebaum said that he thought former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel was a head case after winning the Heisman, but that “Winston has taken it to a different level.” He also thinks that Winston will have a “very bad season,” and that he’s going to struggle to overcome his off-the-field troubles from this offseason.
We’ll see if Finebaum’s prediction about Winston comes true this season, starting on Aug. 30, when the Seminoles take on Oklahoma State in Arlington, Texas.
