Update: Dieng does have Towns one-upped in one respect: he won a national championship at Louisville in 2013, while the Wildcats fell two wins shy of one in Towns’ one year in Lexington. Dieng reminded the budding star about that when he responded to his tweet.

Earlier: Kentucky just held off rival Louisville 75-73 to win its eighth match-up with the Cards in the last nine tries. After the game, Minnesota Timberwolves rookie sensation and former UK star Karl-Anthony Towns took to Twitter to get in some good-natured taunting of teammate Gorgui Dieng.

Dieng, of course, played at Louisville before joining the Wolves in 2013. We’re sure him and Towns had a nice back-and-forth going this week.
