Mississippi State is hiring Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, and the Cardinals are reportedly replacing him with Bulldogs DC Peter Sirmon.
Earlier today, reports emerged that Grantham is making the move from U of L to Mississippi State, a return to the SEC after four years as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Georgia.
To replace him, Louisville is reportedly hiring Peter Sirmon, who spent last season as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Mississippi State.
FootballScoop.com was the first outlet to break the Sirmon news.

Grantham’s Louisville defense finished the season ranked 14th nationally in total defense, surrendering 322.2 yards per game. Mississippi State was 110th in the same metric, allowing 459.1 yards per game in 2016.
Stuff like this happens on occasion, but it is always pretty funny when it does. We bet Cardinal and Bulldog fans will be comparing notes after the season.
