Grantham has spent the last three seasons as the defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach under Bobby Petrino. He previously served as Georgia’s DC from 2010-13.
The 50-year-old Grantham also has an extensive background as an NFL assistant, including a three-year stint as the Cleveland Browns’ defensive coordinator from 2005-07.
Under Grantham’s tutelage, Louisville ranked in the top 15 nationally in rushing defense and total defense in 2016.
