Both Louisville’s men’s and women’s basketball teams are doing autograph sessions for fans today at Fort Knox. Of course, after winning the national championship, the men’s team is in particularly high demand, and nobody more so than head coach Rick Pitino.
Today, a pretty crazy moment was caught on video — Pitino was asked to autograph a picture of a wounded soldier missing his leg — the soldier had lost his leg serving in Afghanistan, but had made a great recovery. It was the soldier’s father requesting the autograph, and he actually compared his son’s battle and recovery to that of Louisville guard Kevin Ware. Of course, Pitino obliged and signed the photo.
