The Miami coach confirmed suspicions.
Miami and head coach Jim Larranaga were not specifically named in the FBI probe that rocked college basketball and spawned a coaching change at Louisville.
However, many believed Larranaga to be “coach-3” as named in the investigation, and on Monday afternoon, he confirmed those suspicions.
When speaking with reporters Monday, Larranaga said he and his attorneys believe he is “Coach-3” but maintained his innocence.
Here’s a full statement from Larranaga via Tim Reynolds of USA Today.

“Coach-3” is linked to a section of the FBI report in which Orlando AAU coach Brad Augustine, sports agent Christian Dawkins, and two Adidas representatives allegedly conspired to funnel $150,000 to a high school recruit.
The recruit is believed to be Nassir Little, who committed to North Carolina earlier this month.
