It was a rough year for Miami (FL) football fans. The Hurricanes went 6-6 this season with a 3-5 mark in the ACC, which led to plenty of fans criticizing head coach Al Golden. In fact, some ‘Canes fans decided to pay for a banner that flew over the squad’s game against Cincinnati earlier this season that said “Fire Al Golden, Save The U.”
While some Miami fans want a change in direction, athletic director Blake James seems to think that Golden is the right man for the job. Today, James said that Golden will continue to be the football coach in Miami.
Miami AD Blake James: “Al Golden is our coach and will continue to be our coach.” (He’s said this before, isn’t deviating, repeated now.)

Golden has gone 28-21 with a 16-16 mark during his tenure with the Hurricanes.
