Marcus Paige was just seconds from being a hero and North Carolina legend when he hit an unbelievable game-tying three with seven seconds left in the national championship against Villanova. Of course, Kris Jenkins’ subsequent game-winner turned Paige into a footnote, rather than hero, but UNC fans will always appreciate what the senior guard did in four years at Chapel Hill.
A day after UNC’s dramatic loss, Paige took to Twitter to thank North Carolina, and head coach Roy Williams.
What a great 4 years. So thankful that Coach Williams brought me into the Carolina Basketball family and allowed me to live out my dream.

Paige had his ups and downs on the court, but by all accounts he is a class act off of it.
