At last Saturday’s Syracuse vs. Georgetown finale at the Carrier Dome, the Orange honored former standout Carmelo Anthony for leading the school to its only NCAA National Championship in 2003. Anthony’s jersey was retired at halftime, and Melo gave the fans a rousing speech about his time at the university.
SU’s players also took part in the celebration, wearing Anthony’s new “Jordan Melo M9” basketball shoes. Of course, the Syracuse version was bright orange.
According to sneakernews.com, the new version of the kicks may soon be available to the general public. It looks like a must-have for Orange fans.
