Update No. 2: Josh Rebholz pulled his tweet about Love at the pick-up games. Here is a screenshot:
Update: Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski says that a source has told him that Kevin Love was not at UCLA, interesting considering a Rebholz, a higher-up in the UCLA Athletic Department, added the part about Love being there.
If Carmelo Anthony and Kobe Bryant were playing ball at UCLA today, one thing’s for sure, source tells Yahoo: Kevin Love wasn’t with them.

Original: Can Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, and Kevin Love be plotting to form a ‘Big 3’ in Los Angeles? If a workout at UCLA today is any indication, that may be underway. ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne reported earlier that the Lakers were the team that “most worries” the Knicks, who hope to retain their star player. If they can find a way to bring in California native and former UCLA star Kevin Love home to Los Angeles, the Lakers would probably be a really viable threat once again in the Western Conference.
Earlier today, rumors came out that Bryant, Anthony, and Love were working out at UCLA. While that sounds like the type of thing that people try to spread via social media with every big free agency period, this one was actually confirmed by UCLA Senior Associate Athletic Director Josh Rebholz.

A few weeks ago, it seemed like Anthony to Chicago was the best fit. Earlier this week, a return to New York seemed likely. Now, it seems like there will be a real battle for Anthony’s services.
How would the Lakers add two superstars like that with Kobe’s onerous contract in the way? That is a very valid question.
