If not for a few disastrous turnovers, the team many expect to finish at the bottom of the ACC, Virginia, could be putting a real scare into playoff hopeful UCLA. Sophomore quarterback Matt Johns stepped in for Greyson Lambert, who had thrown two pick sixes earlier in the game, and immediately hit on a couple of big pass attempts, capped off by this beautiful throw to Andre Levrone.
At the half, UCLA leads the Cavaliers 21-10, but all of the Bruins’ scoring has come from defensive touchdowns. UVA has a big edge in total yardage, 245-136, and the defense has done a great job against Brett Hundley. If Johns continues to have the hot hand, Virginia may get right back in this one.
