Here’s the worst coach in the Big 12, according to Athlon Sports.
Kansas has the worst coach in the Big 12 heading into the 2017 season, according to Athlon Sports.
The college football experts have ranked every coach in the Big 12, No. 1 to No. 10, heading into this upcoming season.
The Jayhawks’ head coach, David Beaty, comes in last.
From Athlon Sports:
Beaty only has two wins through his first two seasons in Lawrence, but Kansas is making progress. The Jayhawks ended a 19-game losing streak in Big 12 play by defeating Texas last year and finished 2-10 overall. While there are few moral victories, Kansas lost two other Big 12 games by seven points or less last fall. Beaty is accumulating the right pieces and upgraded his staff with the addition of play-caller Doug Meacham this spring. The Texas native needs more time to turn this program around.
Beaty appears to be elevating Kansas’ recruiting, which is key to competing with the Oklahoma’s and TCU’s of the world, much less Texas, which looks to emerge from ‘sleeping giant’ status under Tom Herman. However, the results aren’t there yet, so it is hard to argue with his spot here too much.
