The United States usually puts together a college all-star team to participate in the World University Games. Last year’s team, which participated in the tournament in Russia, featured Indiana’s Yogi Ferrell and Will Sheehey, Creighton star Doug McDermott, and Cincinnati’s Sean Kilpatrick, among others, and was coached by Davidson’s Bob McKillop.
It appears that for the 2015 tournament in South Korea, the U.S. will change the model. According to reports, Bill Self and Kansas will be representing the U.S.

Of course, with Kansas’ recent history of quick NCAA Tournament exits, expect plenty of jokes like this on Twitter.
