Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart has been suspended for three games by the Big 12 conference following an incident Saturday night in which he shoved a Texas Tech fan in the stands during the Cowboys loss to the Red Raiders. ESPN’s Jeff Goodman confirmed the news Sunday night. The school then followed up with an official announcement on the matter.

Smart made a statement Sunday night as well, apologizing for what transpired.

For what it’s worth, OSU coach Travis Ford was not willing to comment on what Jeff Orr, the Texas Tech fan, said to Smart.
