Oklahoma State To Withhold Leading Scorer Jeffrey Carroll Amid Program Review

The college star won’t be able to play during the review.

Oklahoma State announced on Friday afternoon that senior guard Jeffrey Carroll will not be allowed to play during an ongoing review of the men’s basketball program.

Carroll, the team’s leading scorer from the 2016-17 season, will be allowed to practice with the team.

The review of the Cowboys’ basketball program stems from an FBI probe into bribes in college basketball. Former assistant coach Lamont Evans was named in the FBI’s investigation.

Carroll is the leading returning scorer in the Big 12, so this is a huge blow to a team with Big 12 title aspirations.

Oklahoma State and Pepperdine tip off tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET.
