Bob Stoops has spoken pretty openly about the SEC.
Last summer, the Oklahoma coach questioned the conference’s overall strength. His 2013 Sooners’ squad went on to defeat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl last January. In July, Stoops poked fun at Texas A&M’s non-conference schedule, calling the teams the Aggies will play “a bunch of toughies.”
Stoops is not backing down from any of those comments.

Oklahoma faces an SEC team during the upcoming regular season, as the Sooners play Tennessee at home Sept. 13. A berth to the College Football Playoff could pit Stoops’ squad against one of the SEC’s top teams, too. No one would be complaining if that happens.
