Cardale Jones, ever the optimist, made a great point after Ohio State’s loss.
Ohio State was outclassed by Oklahoma on Saturday night, and to be fair, the Buckeyes looked anything but a College Football Playoff contender against the Sooners. But the same could probably be said a few years back after OSU lost to Virginia Tech at home – you know, right before they ripped off 13 straight wins to capture the national title.
Cardale Jones, after the contest, took to Twitter to reiterate that point.
Jones noted that the last time Ohio State lost a home opener, it went on to win the national title.
And look on the bright side, last time OSU lost a home opener, they won the National Championship🤷🏾♂️ #GoBucks

No, Ohio State fans probably aren’t thinking national title right now. But technically, he’s right.
