Adrian Peterson and Gerald McCoy experienced plenty during their collegiate playing careers at Oklahoma.
Peterson, a star running back for the Sooners from 2004-06, was a Heisman candidate his freshman season, a unanimous All-American, and broke numerous NCAA records.
McCoy, a stout defensive tackle for Oklahoma from 2006-09, was a two-time team captain, the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, and played in the BCS National Championship Game.
Neither, though, got to wear the alternate uniforms Oklahoma will debut this fall. They’re a little jealous of the current Sooners that will get to.

Oklahoma’s a traditional college football power that’s rarely strayed from its classic crimson and white uniforms, but the alternate threads seem to be adored by all.
