Westbrook underwent surgery for a core muscle injury.
After playing through an injury in his final preseason game, former Oklahoma standout wide receiver Dede Westbrook was placed on the Injured Reserve.
And yesterday, he underwent surgery for the injury, which is being called a “core muscle injury.”
Fellow Jaguars WR Allen Robinson underwent surgery this week as well.

Westbrook was sensational during the preseason, and finished with 298 yards to lead the NFL in preseason receiving yards—115 of which were amassed in his final game which he played injured.
The fourth-round pick will have to stay off the field until at least week eight of the season, but a return is likely.
