Joe Mixon won’t be playing college football for Oklahoma this season. The five-star running back recruit, who was charged with a misdemeanor following an alleged assault incident, has been suspended from the team.
The talented tailback apparently will not be departing from the Sooners’ program, though. He’s reportedly enrolled in classes, and tonight, he tweeted out something that should make Oklahoma fans very happy.

Mixon, if he can get past his legal trouble, could develop into an incredibly gifted player for the Sooners. The 6-foot-2, 207-pound athlete was rated the No. 1 running back and the No. 8 player overall in the 2014 class by Rivals.com.
