ESPN put out its first edition of the ESPN300 recruiting rankings for the football class of 2018 today. Here’s where each of Oklahoma’s ESPN300 2018 commits ranks.
ESPN, which is one of the four major recruiting services, published its most notable recruiting list for the class of 2018 for the first time today. Here is how the rankings shook out for each of the each of the ranked players joining the Oklahoma Sooners next year. Three of Oklahoma’s six players made the ESPN300:
Four-star OT Brey Walker (Moore, OK)
Rank: No. 68
Four-star RB T.J. Pledger (Bradenton, FL)
Rank: No. 97
Four-star QB Cameron Rising (Newbury Park, CA)
Rank: No. 202
Oklahoma has a solid foundation to make waves in the 2018 recruiting class. The Sooners’ 2018 class currently ranks No. 12 in the nation, which isn’t bad, but it lags behind schools like Ohio State and Clemson, which are solidly within the top 10 with big-name recruits per 247Sports. Oklahoma is, however, the top Big 12 team in the rankings, so the Sooners at least have that going for them. Still, there’s quite a ways to go in the 2018 draft cycle.
