This past weekend, Texas shocked many people by absolutely pummeling the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Rivalry game. Oklahoma was outplayed from start to finish as the team took its first loss of the 2013 season.
Today, when meeting with the media, offensive lineman Daryl Williams was asked about the game and what he thought went wrong — he had a pretty interesting response:
Daryl Williams why OU lost to Texas: “I don’t think we played as hard as we could’ve.” #Sooners

Did the Sooners not take Texas very seriously, or expect that this was going to be an easy win? Getting beat and outplayed is one thing, but to get whooped and then say that your team wasn’t trying very hard is another. We’re pretty sure that Williams is going to be asked to elaborate a bit on this one.
