Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine is headed to the NFL.
Coming off a milestone night at the Sugar Bowl, Oklahoma’s Samaje Perine is headed to the NFL Draft.
Perine, who broke Billy Sims’ all-time program rushing record last night, will forego his senior season and turn pro. He announced the news this morning on Instagram.
Perine finished his career with 4,122 rushing yards and 49 touchdowns. His best year was 2014, when he totaled 1,713 yards and 21 touchdowns as a true freshman.
With the news of Perine leaving, this year’s running back class gets even more loaded. Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook, Christian McCaffrey, D’Onta Foreman, Alvin Kamara, Brian Hill, Wayne Gallman, now Perine and more.
If you’re an NFL team in need of a back, now might be the time to strike while the iron is hot.
