College football fans everywhere were treated to one of the best bowls of the postseason tonight with an epic battle between Oklahoma and Alabama in New Orleans. Nick Saban’s squad was a heavy favorite entering the game, but the Sooners came out with a major chip on their shoulder, taking a two-touchdown lead into halftime following some offensive fireworks.
Alabama battled back and found itself within seven points in the game’s final minute, with senior AJ McCarron getting a chance to be the hero. Unfortunately for the Tide, McCarron was sacked by linebacker Eric Striker and coughed up the football. The loose ball was promptly picked up by OU’s Geneo Grissom and returned for a touchdown:
