Former Texas Tech tight end Jace Amaro, who is projected as a second or third round draft pick for this year’s upcoming NFL draft, is tired of people confusing which school he attended. Amaro took to Twitter Monday night to vent about being mistakenly identified as a Texas A&M prospect – he asks that nobody ever lists him as an “aggie” again.
Never seen so many errors on what school I came from. I went to TEXAS TECH. Not a&m and please never list me an “aggie”.

After a quick search, we found a few articles, including this one from newyorkjets.com, that list him as a former Texas A&M player rather than a former Texas Tech player. I have a feeling that this is simply the result of journalists in other parts of the country confusing two schools in a state they aren’t familiar with – something that clearly wouldn’t happen in Texas itself.
