Texas A&M’s move from the Big 12 to the SEC left some serious doubt on when the Aggies would play the Texas Longhorns again. The rivals haven’t faced off since 2011, a 27-25 Longhorn win, when the two still shared a conference, and Texas doesn’t appear on A&M’s schedule anywhere in the near future.
Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin appears to be somewhat optimistic that the two schools would face off again down the road.

Slotting in a series with Texas would be an awesome way for A&M to fill their new “one Power 5 non-conference game per year” SEC quota. As college football fans, we certainly want this rivalry renewed.
