Last week, we got word that Texas head coach Charlie Strong was making his players “earn” the Longhorns logo by removing it from their helmets. Apparently this week they’re just wearing it on their waists instead. A few of UT’s players were seen wearing a “Texas Football Warrior” WWE-style championship belt today before and after team practice. One, sophomore linebacker Peter Jinkens, showed it off for the cameras.

We’re not sure of its significance, but it’s not the first time we’ve seen one of these belts associated with a college football program. A Wisconsin offer letter we showed you last week featured a photo of one as well.
