Vince Young hasn’t taken an NFL snap since 2011, when he played for the Philadelphia Eagles, and was cut by the Green Bay Packers before the start of last season, but he’s not giving up on his pro career. If he has played his last NFL snap, Young won’t consider playing in Canada. Instead, he will go back to Texas to work as an ambassador for his alma mater. Houston’s FOX 26 has more information of Young’s potential job:
If it doesn’t work out with me with football right now, the university has a great job for me as well… Just being like an ambassador. Doing a lot of speaking engagements. Just letting you know what we have going on, especially helping kids get scholarships and recognizing things like that. Whatever it is, I just want to be a supporter of the university.
If this is it for Young as a professional athlete, it’s good that he has a contingency plan.
