Miami basketball is coming off of one of its best seasons in program history, and it will be an uphill battle to replicate that success in 2013-14. However, today things got a bit easier, as head coach Jim Larranaga got another (used) toy to play with.
It was reported by CBS’ Jeff Goodman that forward Donnavan Kirk will transfer from DePaul to Miami for his final year of college basketball:
Miami has picked up DePaul transfer Donnavan Kirk, per source. Big man can play his final year ASAP.

It had been announced several weeks ago that Kirk was looking to transfer. Kirk graduated from DePaul this spring, so he is eligible to play immediately at Miami under the Graduate Transfer Rule.
Kirk is a 6-foot-9, 223-lb forward who is well-seasoned from the Big East. He averaged 6.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game in 2012-13.
