Providence won its matchup against Colgate last night, but the real story isn’t about the dominant 79-45 victory; it’s about the tribute the basketball team paid to the victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy. While a lot of schools have honored the victims by wearing patches that say “SH”, Providence partnered with Nike to get custom green and white uniforms with the words “Sandy Hook” written across the back.
So happy Nike came thru with these uniforms so that we could show how much we care in Providence for Sandy Hook! twitter.com/MikeJack05/sta…

There were also 26 seats left open in honor of the 26 victims.
