Thursday afternoon, it was announced that Michigan State had picked its three captains for the 2014 season. Senior safety Kurtis Drummond, senior guard Travis Jackson and junior defensive end Shilique Calhoun were all selected by their teammates to represent the squad. Calhoun immediately took to Twitter to post a photo of the trio, along with a ‘thanks’ to his teammates.

Some might be a bit miffed as to why quarterback Connor Cook wasn’t selected, but he’s still just a junior, so it’s a good bet that he’ll be selected next year. Can 2014 Michigan State perform to the level of the 2013 team?
